Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 27:1-14. Verse 1, what is my greatest fear, or several of them? Listening to God with the ear of faith, how does he refute those fears?
Proverbs 17:1-28. Verse 10, whom can I count on for constructive criticism, blunt warnings, and an honest sounding board? Should I widen that circle?
Romans 13:8-14. Verses 12 and 14, how shall I go about putting on the armor of light, or putting on Christ, in preparation for this day?
Matthew 19:16-30. Verse 22, what great possessions do I have that get in the way of my following Jesus and finding eternal life? What’s to be done?
