Bible Sunday 4/16: Victory

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 109:1-31. Verses 5-15, when have I felt justly furious, vengeful, and bitter against someone? How did God show up? Present application?

Exodus 8:1-32. More plagues, more broken promises from Pharaoh. What enabled Moses to hang on? When have I staved off discouragement with God’s help??

I Corinthians 15:50-58. Verse 58, related, how did Moses know he wasn’t laboring in vain for the Lord? How do I know the same in my own situation?

John 20:19-31. Is there a Thomas among my acquaintances, someone on the verge of accepting Christ but wanting a little more proof? How can I help that person take the final step?
