Bible Wednesday 4/26: Together in Unity

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 133:1-3. How can my church find greater unity in loving and serving God? By what metric can we know we’re gaining? What’s my role in this?

Exodus 18:1-27. Jethro, though not a follower of Yahweh, wisely counsels Moses. What lesson or benefit might God be intending to give me from an unlikely source?

I Corinthians 11:27-34. Beware of taking the Lord’s Supper unworthily. What’s the action point here for me? What’s at stake?

John 6:52-59. If I’m honest with myself, aren’t there other forms of eating and drinking—material and spiritual—that I tend to prioritize ahead of the body and blood of Jesus?
