Bible Monday 5/29: Nevertheless

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 73:1-28. Verse 13, when have I felt so forsaken, as if I had done my part but God hadn’t done his? Verse 23, how did I break through to deeper faith, God’s “nevertheless”? Present application?

Joel 3:1-21. Verses 9-11, what preparations does God want me to be making today for spiritual warfare? What’s the consequence of failing to prepare?

Acts 2:22-35. Preaching on Pentecost, Peter testifies of Jesus crucified, risen, ascended, and reigning. Who needs to hear this good news from me today?

John 17:11-19. Verses 14-18, Jesus prays the Father to help you and me be in the world but not of it. What specific form will this challenge take for me as I go through the activities of this day?
