Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 145:1-21. What’s the best thing for which I want to praise and glorify God today? What’s the hardest thing to praise him for? Shall I do so anyway?
Joel 2:1-32. Verses 28-30, what am I most urgently asking the Holy Spirit to do for me, my family, and my church today?
Acts 2:1-21. Verse 14, what had happened to make Peter such a changed man from the timid denier of Jesus, only 50 days ago? How can I partake today of whatever it was that flowed through him?
John 7:37-39. When someone, by Jesus’ authority, becomes a “living water person,” how is that noticeable to others in everyday life? If I’m such a person right now, what will be evidence of it today?
