Bible Wednesday 7/5: Ends of the Earth

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 11:1-7. Verse 4, realizing that God’s eye is upon me every minute of this day, with what attitudes and actions shall I respond?

Numbers 18:1-32. Verses 20-26, instructions for tithing. Is God pleased with my generosity to him? What’s to be done?

Acts 13:42-52. Verse 47, salvation to the ends of the earth. Does my church understand its mission this way? What are my obligation and opportunity?

Mark 6:1-13. Jesus sends out the twelve in pairs. If sent on mission—whether overseas or on my block—who would I want to partner with? What excess baggage would I leave behind? How would I handle rejection?
