Bible Monday 8/7: A Father's Plea

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 90:1-17. Verse 12, in the numbering of my days right now, August 2023, what wisdom is God giving me to think upon and act upon?

Joshua 1:1-18. Verses 6-9 and 18, God commands Joshua four times to be strong and courageous. Applying that command to my life situation at present, what must I specifically do?

II Peter 2:1-11. Verse 1 KJV, what damnable heresies in particular am I to guard against? What’s at stake? What is God’s antidote?

Mark 9:14-29. Verse 24, help my unbelief. If Jesus would grant such a faltering and earnest plea, what can I trust him to grant me today?
