Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 37:1-40. Verses 7, 9, 34, wait on the Lord. In order to do this today, what attitudes and actions are required of me? What result can I expect?
Numbers 28:1-31. With the Old Testament sacrificial system having ended, what offerings does God now expect of me—no less reverently and punctiliously—as a New Testament believer?
Acts 16:25-40. What prayers, praises, and songs shall I offer up to the Lord today, in order to break down some prison door?
Mark 8:22-30. If someone asks me today, “Who is this Jesus of yours,” will I be ready with an answer that is simple, clear, winsome and bold?
