Bible Saturday 8/19: He is Risen

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:49-88. Verse 51, in what way is the Christian an object of derision and mockery to the worldly mind of today? How can I be confident that if we keep faith, God will laugh last?

Joshua 13:1-33. Exactness of the land title God gave three tribes east of the Jordan. What part of God’s provision for my life seems inexact and uncertain? Prayer point for today?

Acts 26:24-32. Verse 28, who do I know that is hesitating at the “almost” point of accepting Jesus Christ? Is there something more I can do to help that person commit?

Mark 16:1-8. What one thing do I need today more than all else, from the resurrection power of Jesus?
