Bible Sunday 10/1: His Shining Face

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 80:1-19. Verses 3, 7, 19 KJV, when God answers this prayer and makes his face shine on me, what does that involve? What would I see and experience? What could I then do?

I Chronicles 7:1-40. More about Israel’s patriarchal families. Why is the spirit of this world so set on destroying the God-ordained traditional family? What’s to be done?

Galatians 4:12-20. Verse 19, Paul’s labor pains in striving to help new believers be reborn in Christ. To whom do I owe a debt of gratitude for taking such care with my spiritual growth? How can I pay it forward?

Luke 11:24-32. Verses 24-26, in what guise and through what points of entry will evil spirits worm into my consciousness today? How can I obtain help from Jesus to repel those attacks?
