Bible Thursday 5/9: Christ Ascends

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 24:1-10. Verses 3-5, what is the benefit for me today in realizing that Jesus, after defeating death, ascended bodily to sit—even now—at God’s right hand?

Ezekiel 32:1-32. God’s sovereignty over all earthly kings. Do I tend to view the political and military struggles of this world with uneasy fear or with unshaken faith?

Acts 1:1-14. Verses 6-8, what’s specifically involved in my serving as a witness for King Jesus in daily life here and now?

Luke 24:36-53. Verses 44-48, how can a closer study of the Scriptures equip me to witness more effectively of Jesus Christ crucified, risen, ascended, reigning, and soon to return?
